On 17 July the lunar north node shifts from Taurus to Aries.
So what happens during nodal transits? It’s just an intersection point on the ecliptic, right? Not even an energetically thriving object like the Sun, Moon, planets, dwarf planets, centaurs and more. Great question. The nodal cycle is 18.6 years long. The nodes spend slightly more than a year and a half in a sign, which marks a karmic evolutionary theme that impacts all collectively. When the node changes signs, a new theme begins. This next theme: “take care of yourself first.” There will be a decline from the materialization of a life thing into unrelenting personal self development.
During a nodal transit theme people enter your life or current life companions engage with more intense emphasis in ways that either oppose or support your personal objectives per the implied context of the sign the nodes transit. Some persons manage to accomplish both tasks emulating the rules of engagement for a love interest in a movie. Cinematic love interests root for their partner, and simultaneously stand in the way of those objectives when they feel their own interests are impinged upon by the partner’s pursuit. No matter which occurrences appear, it’s a win. How? No matter which side of the coin a person in your life appears to be, the interaction with absolutely amplifies your awareness of which side of the coin you want to land facing up after a coin toss. As the node shift occurs next week, immediately it may feel as if an individual stands solely alone against the world, despite those with whom one has devoted karmic connections. That’s because the nodes square Pluto as the sign shift occurs (the square exact on 23 July). The point of the Pluto to node quadrature is to comprehend the vastness of your personal core’s strength and its value, and more, how you solely influence the outcomes you aspire to achieve. As necessary, should you discover that others feed from your core, cut them loose as to reclaim the totality of your being entirely for yourself. Once fully self-absorbed in a way that sustains you, you can (re)connect with others to assist them, and regulate the engagement such that others do not become a psychic siphon. Again, the key point for the balance of this month, stand in your strength and apply your resolve.
Soon after the Eris-Pluto theme, the north node treks toward two significant long-lasting Aries objects, Eris and Chiron. These bodies are committed to feeling included, exemplary personal excellence and thorough healing on the psychic and physical levels.
First up is the lunar node to Eris. Though this conjunction exactly occurs on 26 November, these two technically stand in a tight conjunction (30 minutes or so) starting around 10 September and lasting until the first few days of December - nearly three months for one nodal transit! This is because of the nodal wobble in the sky that constantly reverses direction between prograde and retrograde, and the fact that Eris slows as she approaches her station to resume direct motion. Though there is an exact conjunction in November, virtually the node and Eris stand together (about a minute apart) on 29 September, creating a second almost, but not quite precise alignment. This is a most unusual and spectacular set of celestial circumstance.
The agenda of Eris to the north node is to know that all ones actions seek to create a perfect fit of skills, assets, desire and needs as one fulfills the personal karmic/dharmic axis. Coincident with this long-lasting transit era, Venus, Saturn and Pluto all resume direct motion. If one values about the entire personal package received at birth and cultivated in life, great progress turns and establishes potent results and manifestations that satisfy soulful urges. Should one encounter obstacles from others or organizations that seem hellbent on opposition to ones efforts, it is not personal. Those individuals and collective groups would oppose anyone who becomes perceived as the contentious blip on the radar. It’s not just you.
From September to December use each and every step forward to directly portray ones deepest intent and most soulful motivation. If it seems that correction is required, do so immediately. On the horizon, all manifestations seek to support the sensation of having found a fit in life for yourself, thus ending the belief that one is a real world “fish out of water,” a spiritual outsider, or an emotional expatriate. This kind of transit is most unusual. Apply with the enthusiasm of knowing your unusual traits and methods can be accepted as usual.
In 2024 the north node aligns with Chiron on 19 February. This transit sets up the profoundly promising Jupiter-Uranus conjunction that culminates on 20 April. With the node to Chiron, take extra time to assess the lingering romp of the node to Eris. Define what good came your way. Appreciate the benefits in life that your actions and attention created. Establish once and for all that you are enough and what you are cannot be diminished by anyone’s verbal sticks and stones, or anything online for that matter.
